With recent polls Gallup and CBS News has found that more people are disapproving the way Congress is doing their job. In all of the polls the article talked about the approval for Congress was below 20 percent in all. Gallups polls have not shown approval ratings this low in three decades.

I think that these polls are probably pretty accurate because they are contacting regular people from across the nation. This should show Congress and the rest of the Government that they need to change the way they are handling things. If they people don't think they are doing their jobs well then they are letting down their country and the people that voted for them.

The current research shows that only a mere 13 percent approves of how congress is handling their job while 83 percent disapproves. Gallup said that the 13 percent appoval rate is the lowest they have seen in decades while 83 percent disapproval is the highest in decades. CBS polls have recorded that on average, 7 out of 10 people are disappoving of the way congress is running the show.

I do think that the way congress is running its lawmaking is a little messed up. But, the point I am going to make is, if there are so many people who are so upset with the way congress is running things, why do so many Americans not vote? I try not to diss on stuff because I at the current point in time have little intrest in getting into congress and tryting to change it. If more people get involved and more people vote, the voices and words of the people can be heard.

If less than 20 percent of people are disapproving congress. That means about 80 percent of people do not like the way congress is handeling things. It is the lowest ratings in the last 30 years. There also was only a little over a thousand people asked but it still shows how good they are doing.

i think we need to change the way things are working in washington and change them fast. I do not think they are doing a bad job but they can definatly do a better job. If we voted for them they need to return the favor and do a good job at handling bills.

Gallup survey shows that many people are not agreeing with the congress and how they are doing their jobs. Polls have showen that they havent. Many Democrats say they are happy of how the congress is handling duties but that has decreased since october.

I think that the polls are accurate because, there is of people who do not think the congress is doing their jobs correctly. Also they asked people all over the nation, it wasn't just one state saying this. It must be an issue otherwise the percentages wouldn't be that high.

The event says that a Gallup poll was released saying 13 percent of the public agrees with the Congress about them handling their job and 83 percent saying they disagree. The CBS poll said that 17 percent of Americans approved that the Congress is doing their job and about 7 and 10 saying they dont approve. The Gallop poll is saying that this is the worst in three decades.

I agree with Will, if they want to change how the Congress does their job, they should vote. This tells the Congress that they need to do some changing and make the country be on the same side.

Recently the Gallup Polls have showed a new low in there findings. CNN has just shown us that Americans are disagreeing with congress and how they do their job. 1,019 adults nationwide were asked over the phone the rate for error is slim.

This goes to show what people in America are really thinking i dont think this is something small because they are contacting people from all over and i think that the congress needs to be doing whats right for us Americans, i dont think that the congress is doing awful but i do think that they need to listen more to the people and do things somewhat better.

Apparently most adults do not approve of the way congress is running their show, but that seems foolish to me. Recent polls show that almost 20% of adults actually agree with what congress is doing which means there is 80% of that number that do not approve.

First off, if so many people disapprove of congress then why are the people in the seats they were voted to be in? Because if 80% of people disagree with congress then why wasnt someone else voted for? I think that people need to either vote in order to get a government run by the people and also that people that do vote need to do their research so we dont have this problem again.

North Korea is threatening retaliation for sputh Korea's military drills. they consider the live-fire artillery drill this weekend to be needlessly provocative. they are planning to hold the drill on Yeonpyeong island, the same island that was bombarded by north korea and left four south koreans dead.

i think that the koreas are just looking for a reason to go to war. north korea is crazy and wants more power and south korea was to retaliate for the bombing by the north. once again i really hope we stay out of this one as a country.

On Wednesday, the Senate passed the $858 billion tax cut package, which includes a two-year extension of the Bush-era tax cuts set to expire December 31. The measure would also extend unemployment benefits for 13 months, cut the payroll tax by 2 percentage points for a year, restore the estate tax at a lower level and continue a series of other tax breaks.

i think that the taxes should have never went up in the first place they raced the taxes so then we payed for more stuff we didnt need really.

The Americans view of Congress has hit a new low. The Gallup poll has shown that only 13 percent likes what Congress is doing, while in a CBS news poll indicated 17 percent like what Congress is doing.
I think this is nuts. I know what Congress has to do to pass a bill but it should not take this long.

Only 13% of the public approves of how congress is doing there job. 83% say that they could do alot better. the democrats only agree by 16%.

this is incredible congress is doing a terrible job the years obama has been in office has made a joke of the united states. this is actually kind of sad considering our country cant be the symbol of strength hope and power with this on our history.

The Gallup poll released that only 13% of the public gives Congress a thumbs up for their efforts in doing their job, the other 83% disapprove. With only 13% of peoples approval, this is the worst Gallup poll in three decades. The survey was given over by phone.
Im not amazed that people think that Congress is not doing a good job since we are in a depression. These people who disapproved are obviously effected by the economic crisis. And it should be one of the lowest in three decades because we are in a hole, we just need to dig ourselves out.

The Gallup poll that was released that only 13 percent of the people approve and 83 percent disapprove. The 13 percent approval rating is the worst Gallup has measured in three decades, with the 83 percent an all time high for a disapproval rating. The Gallup poll was conducted on December 12, 2010, with 1,019 adults all over got questioned on the phone.

I am not surprised that more people disapproved because the Congress is not doing a very good job in the first place and plus we are in a depression. I agree with what Chad says that it is kind of sad that our country can't be the symbol of strength, hope, and power with this in our history.

A recent poll indicates that only 13% of the public is giving congress a thumbs up for the way they have been handling things. The disapproval rating for congress is at an all time high of 83%. The percentage of democrats that approve of congress has dropped from 38% in October to 16%.

I was a little shocked when I read this article. I didn't realize how many people are dissapointed in our congress. If 7 out of 10 Americans think our congress isn't doing their job something needs to be done. Hopefully 2011 will be a turn aroud year for them.

A recent Gallup pole shows that only 13% of Americans agree with how congress is doing their job and 83% disagree. This is at an all time low in the past 3 decades that poles have been kept for this. In the past few months it has sky-rocketed so congress must not be doing some very popular to Americans recently, whatever it is that they're doing.

I am not too suprised that people are feeling this way but I think that if Americans are upset with this than they need to vote who runs the show and stop complaining and whining.

In Congress there are a lot of things going wrong. Only 13 percent of people approve of congress making decisions. With no one liking who is in office, this could be a bad situation.

I agree with the 13 percent. They have not done that great of a job and they are managing our money poorly. There are some behind the back deals in congress and it is hard to understand what is really going on.

Studies have no shown that only 13 precent of Americans think that congress is doing its job. And I cant help but agree, sure they have gotten things done in the past, but it doenst meant there doing anything right now! I know that there working hard, but seriously if they would just try to get along for three seconds and try a little 'Compromise' things would be a WHOLE lot better.

Recent polls show that only 13 percent of Americans think congress is doing their job the way they should. This means that an entire 83 percent disagrees with what they are doing. This is extremely high and the highest in decades.

First of all, this really isn't all of Americans. It's really only the people who took the time to do the survey and that were probably mad enough to stay on the phone in the first place. Beyond that, if they don't agree with the way things are being done then they should get out and vote. That's what our government is all about.

Well, the approval rating of Congress has not hit an all-time low. More than 83% of American's say they disapprove of what Congress is doing right now. The most understanding is the democrats who 16% are saying Congress is doing an okay job, then independents at 13%, and republicans at a low 7 %.

These ratings should be an obvious hint to Congress that the American people do not approve of what they are doing. Hence, they should stop what they are trying to do and start working for the people again, not themselves.

13 percent agree that congress is doing their job correctly. But 83 percent think they are not doing what they should. 7 out of ten think that congress is doing a horrible job. That is extremly high.

Because of how high the percentage is of people who don't agree with what congress is doing I think that they should propably stop what they are doing. They should start listening to the people and they would then get more support from the people. And they would keep the people happy.

I think that congresss should look at these statistics and see for themselve that something has to change. They are the voice of the American people and if the American people dont think that they are doing there job correctly, then someting has got to give.

I think that this is kind of rediculous. If congress sucks, then why don't we just get a whole a new one, starting with firing ALL the incumbnents.

Most people don't agree with what kind of job the congress in doing. Only 13% of people like what they are doing compared to the 83% of people that don't approve with what the congress is doing. Also only 16% of Democrats approve of how Congress is handling its duties, which is down from 38% in October.

I think if people don't like what congress is doing than they should try to do something about it. People could start by voting for every election.

New Low for Congress Approval
Only 13% of people have give the thumbs up to how congress is handling it's job. This approval rating is the lowest it has been for 3 decades. These ratings were taken by poll, they were called and surveyed on whether they believed this was being done correctly or not.

I think it is sad that the people in America are this disappointed in the way that there government is being run.
