1. Hard money is money given directly to a candidate. Soft money is money spent on advertising and campaigning and various other useless things.
2. I agree and disagree with various parts of the electoral process. I will believe our government would be nothing with out the order that has been created with how we elect our opcoming leaders, but frequently there ways are quite unorthodox.
3. A closed primary is an election where only people of the same party can vote. An open primary is an election where any registered voter can vote.
4. Absentee voting is a vote that cast on a day other than the official voting day. The upside to this form of voting is that soldiers can vote even if they are in a place that hinders them from getting to vote in their usual place. Absentee votes could also be seen as bad by those that would prefer to keep voting tradtitional.
5. I see the money spent growing to an even more outrageous height. The amount spent now is overwhelming, but I beleive they will just continue to go overboard on spending.
6. I believe that the money being spent is disturbing. This money could be used to end the debt of America, but instead just keeps adding on to the debt by wasting on stupid commercials to try to degrade their oppenent.
7.The Senate voted Wednesday to begin debate on ratifying a new nuclear arms treaty with Russia, a presidential priority that conservative Republicans are trying to block.
